TOWER OF LONDON

This is Taber’s part of the city, so we combined our visit to the Tower with a visit to Taber’s work place. In the pictures, the people you don’t know are Taber’s co-workers. The kids loved the fountains in the courtyard at Taber’s building because they unexpectedly leap up.

At the Tower we saw a display of Henry VIII’s armor, which includes jousting and parading armor. The changing of the guard pictured here took place at the Tower of London. We took a picture with “the invisible man” just outside the Tower. Once within the Tower, we posed near “Traitor’s Gate,” first as a family, then as traitors.

There is a old legend that if the ravens that live at the Tower of London ever left, the kingdom would fall. They take very good care of the ravens. They have also clipped their wings so they can’t fly away. This seems a little like cheating.
