The band was grand.
The London Eye was really high.
We spent the morning chasing the guard. We could hear the music as the band marched toward the palace, but we never quite caught sight of the band. When we arrived, the palace grounds were mobbed with crowds. We gave up and headed back through the park to the tube stop. Then we heard the music increasing in volume behind us as the band marched away from the palace. We caught a glimpse of them just before they turned the corner. We stopped briefly at Trafalgar Square to visit the lions, before catching our train.
The London Eye offered views of London, the most familiar of which were the ground we had just covered while chasing the guard. We also identified Big Ben. It was fun to feel like we were in a slow moving airplane made entirely of glass. The route from the London Eye back to the train station was occupied by street performers, such as a sidewalk chalk artist, musicians, and human statues.
