It seems our days are one
continual round of temple service, interspersed with Sunday meetings, and my giving piano lessons on
Sundays while Greg bakes bread for the week; but as we look back, there has
been time for many activities as well:
In August:
Our daughter Rebecca had her baby and I was able to travel to Germany to help the family.

In September:
We took several Autumn walks.
We were given the
responsibility to plan the monthly Temple Conferences.
We took a group of
missionaries on a walk to Casa de Campo, a large park that used to be a royal
hunting preserve, where we ate picnic lunches next to a lovely lake.
We went to Belmonte with the
Payas, where we saw the town, some old windmills, and the outside of one of the
most beautiful castles in Spain.
Unfortunately it, like many tourist sites, is closed on Monday, our day
off from temple service.
Our son Michael informed us that he was engaged to be married to a lovely woman named Elizabeth DeBroux.
And we were able to attend
the temple sealing of a friend from our last mission, Herminia Martins, to her
husband, Carlos Almeida.
