Tentative Efforts

I wrote this way back in November, thought I posted it, and just found it again. Ancient history, but history, nevertheless. Now we are waiting for the snow to melt so we can open the cabin again.

Hi Family and Friends!

We of the Greg Jones nuclear family (i.e. Mom and Dad) have decided it's time to get with the program, so here goes... (deep breath)...

It has been a gorgeous Fall here. The autumn leaves have been breathtaking. I missed getting pictures of those in Logan canyon during our many trips to the cabin during its stabilization phase, but this one was taken in Wellsville Canyon on our way to watch Conference with your Uncle Jerry and Aunt Nancy.

The cabin is now closed for the Winter. It still lacks flooring in the kitchen and hallway, and needs either paint or wallpaper in the kitchen and a few other touch-ups. The contractor who replaced the rotted floor joists, or neighbor Mike Cooper, says he found lots of places where little mice and squirrels were getting in, and closed them off. We put down mouse killer are are hoping for the best. (I won't tell you about all the little mouse nests we discovered on our find and destroy tour as we closed for the season.)

We had a great Halloween visit with Dave, Nic and the boys. On the way there we visited with our mission friend Barbara Jarvis and carved pumkins at her family's Family Home Evening. Then Josh and Gabe carved theirs while we were there.
